We are currently searching for a dynamic Physician Recruiter to join our Human Resources team in our Corporate Office located in Harlem, NY.  The Physician Recruiter will coordinate the sourcing, screening, assessment, recruitment, selection and onboarding process for a specific specialty group. This is done in accordance with established hiring guidelines, procedures, policies and regulatory and legal standards. The position will serve as a consultant to the hiring site to identify the most effective and efficient recruitment strategies to attract top talent to the organization.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing, business, or other health-related fields.
  • Minimum 2-3+ years previous experience in physician/provider recruitment a MUST
  • Proven skills in the evaluation of candidates. Excellent judgement skills.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) required.
  • High attention to detail. Ability to maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to unexpected events, prioritize and multi-task in a deadline driven environment.
  • Must be able to prioritize a variety of time sensitive tasks. Consistently display the highest degree of integrity, professionalism, diplomacy and discretion.

Position Summary

Plans, coordinates, implements and directs all activities for the recruitment and hiring of credentialed providers for Peninsula Regional Medical Group. Will maintain/increase the necessary complement of providers required to support the needs of the programs and services offered by Peninsula Regional Health System.

Must possess exceptional analytical and process management skills and superior written/verbal communication skills. Ability to interact with senior management regarding recruitment strategies, budgetary compliance, compensation methodology, and contract negotiations. Position Summary

Provides recruitment services to the practice association for various clinical roles including psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric nurse practitioners and social workers. Partners with the Chief Medical Officer and the Director of Professional Services to be the face of the PA to market positions, make connections and recruit for key positions in a very competitive job market. Works with Marketing on job postings, advertising strategies, improving/maintaining the clinician director on the Sheppard Pratt website.

Utilizes standard human resources process and tools to enhance the current PA hiring process. Focus areas include better use of technology to manage the recruitment process and improved support documentation for the various roles in the PA. Contributes to and/or manage HR-related special projects. Helps to support human resources processes for employed staff including immigration work with an attorney, performance management processes, and providing PA staff with an initial interface for human resources questions.

Position Requirements

Education and Experience

· Requires comprehensive knowledge of human resources management, including employment laws and recruitment and selection procedures, as well as the ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing – acquired through a bachelor’s degree plus 3-5 years progressively more responsible recruitment experience or through high school education plus 6-7 years of progressively more responsible experience. 2+ years of healthcare recruiting experience preferred. Knowledge of physician compensation models and some experience with immigration strongly preferred.

· Interpersonal skills sufficient to conduct interviews, telephone interviews, explain policies and procedures in and assist employees with problems and complaints.

· Analytical ability sufficient to recommend recruitment strategies, extract information from written material, observation, and interviews, determine appropriate pay offer rates, and prepare effective reports.

Day shift, Monday through Friday. May occasionally attend job fairs and conferences.
