The Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment (“AAPPR”) believes in protecting your privacy and the confidentiality of your personal information. The Privacy Policy governs your access to and use of the MAPRA operated and controlled website including http://www.maprainc.org (the “Website”), all other publicly available online services controlled or provided by MAPRA (collectively, the “Services”). MAPRA collects data about you and your use of the Services through various means, including when you provide information to us such as when you join, sign up for a membership, register for events and webinars, participate in MAPRA surveys and when we automatically collect information about you when you access, use, or interact with the Services. We use this information for a variety of different reasons, including to improve the Services and to tailor the Services to you.
MAPRA processes personally identifiable information collected through the Services on the lawful basis of legitimate interests to provide the Services to you. Such processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by MAPRA or by our Service Providers related to the Services.

When using the Website, you may choose to provide us with information to help us serve your needs. “Personally Identifiable Information” or “PII” is information recorded in any form that identifies an individual or can be used to identify an individual. Using MAPRA’s event registration forms, chat community, or learning center, you may provide the Website with PII that may include your name, email address, mailing address, phone numbers, or additional PII. We may use your email address to communicate with you.
PURPOSE FOR COLLECTION, USE, AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
MAPRA collects, uses, and discloses your Personally Identifiable Information in its ordinary course of business. The information may be subject for use in planning new educational offerings or services, gauge member satisfaction, measure awareness of the association, or test reaction to services or communications. This Privacy Policy explains how MAPRA collects and uses data that MAPRA obtains via surveys and other primary research methods that MAPRA uses.
MAPRA shares contact information on the rosters of various MAPRA boards and committees with the members of such groups. MAPRA may provide PII in conference attendees’ contact information to sponsors at MAPRA conferences.

Providing requested membership or services from MAPRA;
Responding to your inquiries about membership and other services;

WEB BROWSING DATA
The Website collects anonymous Non-PII known as “Web Browsing Data” or “Non-Personally Identification Information.” Web Browsing Data alone does not personally identify you. When you visit the Website, our Service Providers or we may collect the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer, your domain, operating system, web pages you viewed, date, time, and other similar information.
To collect Web Browsing Data, we use small computer files that ask permission to be stored on your computer, including cookies, web beacons, tags, and JavaScript. When you visit the Website, a Cookie attaches to your computer and collects Web Browsing Data to allow the Website to remember members’ passwords. Cookies are pieces of information shared between your web browser and a website. The use of cookies enables a faster and easier experience for the user. A cookie cannot read data off your computer’s hard drive. MAPRA allows cookies controlled by third-parties on its website and such third-parties may collect Web Browsing Data through such cookies
BUSINESS USERS OF THE WEBSITE
We collect personal information, including PII from individuals and companies who visit the Website to learn about our Services, register as conference exhibitors, or enter into business relationships with us (“business information”). We maintain business information that may include PII provided by individuals for administering our business, such as maintaining account contact information, sending invoices, etc.
We may be required to disclose your information pursuant to lawful requests, such as subpoenas or court orders, or in compliance with applicable laws. We generally do not disclose PII unless we have a good faith belief that an information request by law enforcement or private litigants meets applicable legal standards. WEBISTE HOSTING
MAPRA works with PracticeLink as its web hosting services provider. MAPRA shares your data, including Personal Data, with our website hosting Service Provider for the purposes of processing your data pursuant to your use of the Services.
ONLINE CHAT FORUM
The Website or other products may make public chat rooms, forums, message boards, or news groups available to you from time to time. We impose terms of use regarding content and activity in such public areas. Further, we monitor or edit posts to those areas. Please remember that any information disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding whether to disclose any personal information via such a forum.
VISITORS WHO BECOME MEMBERS VIA WEBSITE
Visitors who register on the Website to become members consent to be contacted and receive emails from us about our services.

HOW WE PROTECT AND RETAIN YOUR INFORMATION

Currently, we retain individual records of PII and all Non-PII for AAPPR members indefinitely. Members whose membership lapsed are marked inactive until reactivated. We reserve the right to change this policy subject to applicable laws and regulations.
Please note requests to delete or remove your information do not necessarily ensure complete or comprehensive removal of the content or information posted, and removed information may persist in backup copies indefinitely. Please note that if you choose to delete your information or opt-out of the collection and use of your information, you understand that certain features, including but not limited to access to the Services, may no longer be available to you.
If we retain PII on our systems, we restrict access to PII to members who need to know that information to operate, develop, or improve the Website and Services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations.
However, the internet and mobile web are inherently insecure. So, we are unable to guarantee that the security measures we take will not be penetrated or compromised or that your information will remain secure under all circumstances.
